My Little Man

Big Cheese
I'm glad he enjoys brushing his teeth so much!

My little man got a big haircut today and did so good. It was the first time I didn't have to wrestle with him, not to mention the embarrassment of having "that kid" that runs everyone out of the room!! He sat in the chair all by himself, and didn't move or make a sound. I was so proud of him, but kinda sad in a way, because that just tells me that he is growing up...way too fast I might add!
He cracks me up with this smile that he has going...you can't even see his eyes because he squints so much! He is starting to look more like his daddy the older he gets, especially with his big boy haircut!!

One Tired Little Man...

We had to take a break from the sun for a little while...it was so hot out there. There was a nice little gazebo by the pool, thankfully!

Hot Air Balloon Festival

Well, this was a great idea....but Trevor wasn't buying it. I think he was sooo worn out from all of the swimming and being up until 2 am the night before (we drove down Thursday night). As we were walking up, he was so excited about all of the "boons" coming in and landing. But as we got closer, he was scared to death. And not to mention it was scortching hot! We were all pouring sweat when we left. I just wish Trevor would've cooperated a little more. Poor thing, he was miserable, so we only stayed about 30 minutes or so. Then some poor guy on a golf cart had to help me find my car in a field of like 500+ cars!! Not a very good night for anyone!!

Eating at the Shrimp Basket

We went to eat at the Shrimp Basket before tackling the hot air balloon festival...as you can tell, Trevor was missing in these pictures...that's because he was being a little terd, and didn't want his picture taken!

Swimming with "Jakes" and "Kay-ee"

Trevor sure did love swimming with my brother, Jake, and his girlfriend, Haley

My Little Fish

Getting the Hang of It....

Trevor hasn't really been swimming in a big pool that much, so this was one of his first times this summer. I bought him this little floatation device at Walmart before we went, and I must say it is the best $15 I think I've ever spent. He is a wild man at the pool now, and will jump in the water all by himself!!

Beach Pictures

These are the only pictures that we have of the beach, because Mr. Trevor preferred the pool. I am actually glad that he did, being that it was nearly 100 degrees with not much of a breeze. The ocean was full of seaweed, too, so that was another reason to hang out at the pool.

28 Week Update

Well, today I have officially started visiting Dr. Goolsby every two weeks...wow I can't believe how incredibly fast this pregnancy is flying by...have I mentioned that before? Everything went well, except for the fact that my weight is somehow managing to sky-rocket. I mean really, how do you manage to put on 6 POUNDS in 2 WEEKS? I officially almost weigh as much as I did when I DELIVERED Trevor. Yes, I have gained 20lbs in just my last 3 Dr. visits. All I can say is this little fella better weigh more than his big brother did! (I can remember when I had Trevor, looking down at him, thinking "that's all....7lb baby, and I gained 45lbs?" ) Oh well....as long as this little man is healthy, I could care less what I look like!

Speaking of little man, I think we are one step closer to naming him! Joe and I both agree on the name Andrew. I have always loved that name, and always wanted to have a little boy named Andrew that I called "Drew". I had a neighbor that lived up the street from me when I was a growing up, and his name was Andrew, and his parents called him Drew, and I absolutely adored that little boy....that's where I got the name from. Plus, I don't know of an Andrew that I didn't like...it seems like all of the Andrews that I know are great guys. Plus, Joe's brother Jayson's middle name is Andrew, so that's a plus as well.

We're just stumped on the middle name. I love, love "Andrew Joseph Cox", but my silly husband doesn't like his name, and says that if he were going to name anyone "Joseph", it would've been Trevor. I also love "Andrew Jacob Cox", but that's up in the air as well. Someone mentioned "Andrew Hinton Cox", and I think it has a nice little sound to it, but I don't know if Joe will buy it. Who knows? Leave me some comments and tell me what yall think...any suggestions are welcome at this point. I am just ready to have this little angel a name, so I will have one less thing to worry about!!

Oh, and beach pictures are coming soon, I just haven't really had the time to blog this week. I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

My Bestest Buddy

I just realized that alot of my prior posts have been about my pregnancy, weddings, and other things....but I'm gonna let this one be for my buddy Trevor. I was just sitting here thinking about how fast he is growing up. He is a whopping 28 months old!! I can't believe it! And, I have to brag for a minute....my child sat through his first wedding ceremony, with his mommy in it, mind you, without making a single peep. He was an angel...he just kept grinning at me!! Joe said when the ceremony was over, and I was walking down the isle with the groom's brother, he asked Trevor, "who is that man with mommy?", and he said Trevor just stuck that bottom lip out! He was a major show-off at the reception, but overall, he was great and he really surprised me!!

I've also been meaning to post all of the funny things he's been doing here lately, or saying rather. We're still not having luck with potty training, but I'm convinced that will come...I'm not stressing about it. But his little personality is hilarious. Here's a conversation from a couple weeks ago in the drive thru at Wendy's"

Trevor: "Mommy....I wuuuuuuub chicken!"

Me: "Well, I wuuuuuuuub you"

Trevor: "I wub you too, mommy!" (looking at me like duuhh?)

Here's one of my favorites from tonight...it's a little gross, but part of having a little boy, I suppose....so I'm on the toilet, he loves to come in the restroom with me.

Trevor: "Whatcha doin' Mommy?"

Me: "I'm tee teeing in the potty like a big girl, like you should be doing"

Trevor: "You stink doo doo balls, Mommy?"

Me: "No baby, I told you I am tee teeing in the potty."

Trevor: "Shoooo weee mommy, you stink doo doo balls! I wan see..."

Me: getting up now....and letting him see, so he's convinced there's no
doo doo balls in the potty...."See baby, just tee tee"

Trevor: "Ohhhhh Kaaaay Mommy! I puuush it (flush...he can't say his f's
too good yet)

He never ceases to amaze me. Like I said, the joys of having a curious little boy living with you. I love this kiddo more than words could ever explain! I couldn't imagine life without him and his cute little self!

The Bride and the Bridesmaids

Tiffany looks like "okay, y'all are close enough"!

The Bride!!

Here's Tiffany! I thought she looked absolutely beautiful, and her dress was amazing! She just looks so happy, and I am so happy for her!

Who Said It Couldn't Be Done?

A little snug it was, but here you have it! I would've never thought in a million years that I could've order this dress at just 8 weeks pregnant, and had it come out fitting like a glove...a size 14 glove that is! It was hard to "guestimate" what size to get at that time, but I give all the credit to the little pillow that I put on with it at the store. Even though some may agree that I resemble "Free Willy" slightly, I thought it turned out cute...and it's not even a maternity bridesmaid dress!

Rehearsal Dinner

This is the only picture that I had of last night at the rehearsal dinner. Here we are, stuffed after some good barbeque, and ready to rehearse!

26 weeks....14 More to Go....But Who's Counting?

Alright, here's a picture of the baby bump @ 26 weeks, and I must admit, it's coming on out there. I forgot how big your tummy gets when you have a baby in there...it's crazy....and to think I have 14 more weeks to grow...wheww! I know I keep saying how fast this pregnancy has flown by, but it really has. I can't believe I will have another beautiful baby boy in just 14 short weeks! I am having fun with this pregnancy, though...sorry I couldn't say that with Trevor. It's really hot being pregnant in the summer, but I'm enjoying all the cute maternity summer clothes!

Reading with PawPaw

This is definitely on of Trevor's favorite past times....just sitting in Paw Paw's chair with him, reading a book!

Dr. Jenn McCain's Lunch

Here are just a few of us nurses with Jenn McCain (she's the one in the pink by me and Trevor). She will be leaving the ER this month to go to private practice. I am so sad to be losing her, but I am so happy for her. She is truly one of the nicest people I've ever met, and a wonderful pediatrician. If I didn't already have a pediatrician for my children, I would definitely be signing up for some Dr. Jennifer McCain at Mayfair Medical!! I would HIGHLY recommend her for anyone looking for a great doctor for your children! Jenn, the ER loves you, will miss you so very much, and will not be the same without you!!

The Girls

Here are most of our female attendings that work in the ER with Jenn. I kept asking them who was working in the ER that day, because literally most of our docs were eating lunch with us! You can tell they honored Jenn's favorite team by dressing in black and red....go Dawgs!....(Jenn, you'll never hear me say that again :) ! ) By the way, this is a FABULOUS group to work with, and if your child ever has an emergency, rest assure they (and you) are in great hands!

Baby Update 26 Week Visit

This morning I went for the "dreaded" glucose tolerance test, which really isn't that bad if you ask me. The only thing that was bad was the wait. My appointment was at 9:00, and I wasn't seen until oh...about 10:15. That's never happened since I've been seeing Dr. Goolsby (about 12 years) so I couldn't complain. God love him, he looked so busy...and from my understanding he had alot with his other pts in the hospital going on...you know, the ones that we actually in labor. So that made it alot more understanding.

So after I finally got to see him, we listened to sweet baby boy (still no name) who actually kicked the doppler. Needless to say, Dr. Goolsby was very impressed with his strong little heartbeat, and his strength. What can I say? I guess this will be another aggressive little stinker! He handed me my tasty little beverage, and before he could turn around...I was handing him an empty cup. He started laughing and said "My, My...party girl, huh?" I just responded with "used to be, way back in the day!" What I wanted to say was "look, I've been fasting all morning, and my blood sugar is rapidly taking a plunge....can we just get this over with?" I was STARVING! So the dreaded hour went by, and there I was back in the office.

I passed the test with flying colors....which I really wasn't worried about at all, being that I have the opposite problem most of the time! They did check a CBC, and my iron level was pretty low. I don't really know how, because I eat everything that I can get my hands on. And I never had that issue when I was pregnant with Trevor. Oh well, every pregnancy is different I guess! So they put me on some iron pills for the time being...whoooo hooo!!

Now I get to start going back every 2 weeks. I can't believe how fast this pregancy is flying by! This little man will be here before I know it!

Catch Up...

Well, I know I have been a very poor blogger over the past few weeks. I admit it....I've been super lazy. I just haven't had that many good pictures to post, so I've been putting blogging on the back burner. I am going to try my best to be better, I promise. Here are lots of pictures from the last few weeks, so enjoy!

My Heart

This has got to be my most favorite person in the world! This picture has got to be one of my favorites, if not my favorite that I have of the 2 of us. This just shows his awesome little grin that he flashes to me when he really wants to melt my heart, and he knows how to work it!! He is definitely a momma's boy, and is gonna have to learn to share me when borther comes along. But for now, I'm all his...and he knows it!

Tiffany's Party at Superior Grill

Tonight we had a party for Tiffany at Superior Grill. She is getting married next weekend, and I am so happy and excited for her. We have been friends since grade school, and I am so honored that I get to be a part of her big day next weekend. I got to see some girls tonight that I haven't seen in quite a while....ahemmmm, Ashley and Allison. We definitely need to have some get togethers more often so that we can catch up on how life is treating everyone! It was so much fun getting to see a bunch of my old pals!

Highschool Buddies

Allison, Tiffany, Ashley, and Me

Well, it's hard to believe that us girls graduated from highschool 9 short years ago. I swear, it doesn't seem like it was that long ago. It's funny to see everyone getting married and having babies these days. Allison's baby girl is due about 2 weeks before my baby boy.

Pictures with our Mommas

All the Girls

We're all supposed to be looking at Tiffany in this picture...we look kinda goofy to me!!

Who is that Mustached Man?!?

Jake grew himself a mustache over the past few days, just for the heck of it....really just to be funny. I had to have a picture of it, because it cracks me up so bad...this one's for you Rachel, because I know you're gonna die laughing at this. You gotta love this guy...he's is truly a character. He reminds me more of my dad everyday!

Fun in the Sun...

If he slid down this slide once, he slid down it 100 times...or what seemed like 100 times for mommy!
